Update – 6/23/26

My normal routines have been a little out of whack lately, so I wanted to get into that a bit as well as what to expect.

For a while, I’ve really only been using this blog for gaming-related posts, though I use to cover other things like books and movies. Games just seemed to do better; it’s what people were interested in reading about. But lately (due to several reasons), my game group has been more preoccupied with watching movies. As such, there’s been a lot less to talk about in relation to tabletop gaming.

But I really should be posting more anyway. Even if certain topics don’t drum up much interest, it helps me to put words to the things I’m up to. Assuming I have much to say.

Movies

I don’t know if I’ll get back into individual reviews, but I might bundle a few movies together and share my thoughts on them. We’ve been watching Christopher Nolan movies in preparation for The Odyssey, but there were also several others we recently watched before that.

Books

I also use to write reviews for books, which did better than my movie reviews, anyway, and I might go back to these. I’ve read quite a bit since I last wrote anything about what I was reading. A couple of books I recently finished were Michael Moorcock’s Elric of Melniboné and Philip K. Dick’s Eye in the Sky. Don’t put those two author’s next to each other… it’s NSFW. I’m currently reading Goth, by Otsuichi.

Games

I’ll still post what there is of tabletop games, but I was also considering posting a more formal review of Valheim’s Ashlands after a recent playthrough. I’m not really playing anything at the moment, though. Sadly, I was hoping to get a Steam PC, but thanks to trash AI, it was delayed and was finally priced at over $1,000 due to scarcity of components. And they don’t have enough to sell normally, they have to do a weird lottery pre-order to avoid scalpers. If only AI companies and scalpers could all be tossed into the sun…

Winds of the North

It’s still coming. I’ve just been stuck in waiting mode for a while, but time’s running out for this publisher to make up their mind. I’m ready to move on.

Keep your eyes open! Stuff is coming!
