Over on Patreon, I’ve been posting stuff each week this month (horror-themed, of course), and today is the last day of new previews. If you haven’t seen, here’s a look at what’s available, including a free preview of a short story.
Encounters
Encounters is a paranormal journaling game for one player. It’s a quick, simple entry point into journaling games, with some optional rules to expand on the gameplay. It’s playable in short sessions, about 20–30 minutes total.
Black Bones
The first short story, Black Bones, is a sci-fi horror story set in a post-apocalyptic Mexico, and centers around a demon-hunter who is compelled to keep hunting, even alone.
Umbra: Ghost Stories of Visagros
Umbra is a solitaire adventure card game set in a gaslamp fantasy setting. You make and customize your own character, and venture out into the land of Visagros, exploring, completing quests, and leveling up. You can print the cards to play or try out the Tabletop Simulator mod. It’s a longer one, taking around 2–3 hours.
Homewild
Posted today for free, just in time for the full moon, is Homewild, a short story about werewolves, with a modern setting. Katya wakes after her first transformation, and tries to come to terms with her new life, but fitting into society continues to be a challenge, only made worse by her new condition.
I’ll be continuing to experiment with Patreon, so keep an eye out for updates in the future.
